A firefighter died in a car accident as he responded to a separate crash. The accident occurred at around 9 a.m. when the firefighter had stopped to help with an earlier accident. A 2018 Dodge Ram 5500 being driven by a 51-year-old man was towing a trailer when he came upon the earlier crash. The driver lost control of his vehicle because of icy conditions on the road and hit several of the emergency response vehicles and then the firefighter. Two other people were injured.
